Feng Shui Principles for Traveling and Flying

Navigating Harmony While on The Go

Kerstin Tracy | Feng Shui

I love to travel and do so frequently. I've come to appreciate our surroundings' profound impact on our well-being, even when we're on the move. Whether traveling for business or pleasure, the principles of Feng Shui offer invaluable guidance for navigating the world with grace, balance, and harmony - as in you and your luggage arriving smoothly at your destination. Here are some tips you can apply to your travels and flights to ensure a journey filled with positive energy, vitality, and fun!

Preparing Your Energy:

Visualize your travels unfolding smoothly and harmoniously, envisioning yourself arriving at your destination feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and at ease. By cultivating a positive mindset and aligning your energy with your intentions, you can lay the foundation for a successful journey. You are powerful, and your intentions can carry you far.

Choosing Auspicious Travel Dates and Times:

In Feng Shui, timing is everything, and selecting auspicious travel dates and times can greatly enhance the energy of your journey. Consult a Feng Shui calendar or practitioner to identify favorable travel dates based on the Chinese almanac and lunar calendar. Consider factors such as the stars' alignment and the day's energy, aiming for days that are conducive to smooth and harmonious travel. Additionally, pay attention to the timing of your flights, choosing departure times that align with your energy and biorhythms for optimal comfort and well-being.

Packing with Intention:

The items you pack for your journey also shape the energy of your journey. Approach packing with intention, selecting items that support and nourish your energy throughout your journey. Include travel essentials that promote comfort, relaxation, and well-being, such as a cozy blanket, a travel pillow, or essential oils for relaxation. Pack clothing in colors that resonate with your intentions for the trip, whether it's confidence, adventure, or tranquility.

Creating a Travel Altar:

A travel altar is a sacred space you can create to carry with you on your journey, offering protection, guidance, and blessings along the way. Choose personal and spiritual significance items, such as crystals, sacred symbols, or images of deities or spiritual figures. Arrange these items in a small pouch or container, creating a portable altar you can take wherever you go. Connect with your travel altar daily, offering prayers, intentions, or blessings for safe travels and positive experiences.

Navigating Air Travel with Feng Shui:

Air travel presents its own set of challenges and opportunities for applying Feng Shui principles. When flying, staying grounded and centered amidst the hustle and bustle of the airport and airplane is essential. Bring items that promote comfort and relaxation, such as noise-canceling headphones, an eye mask, or a soothing playlist. Stay hydrated and nourished throughout your flight, bringing healthy snacks and plenty of water to support your well-being. Visualize yourself surrounded by a bubble of protective energy, shielding you from any negative influences or disturbances.

Try to sleep on long flights and use meditation techniques rather than watching too many movies during the flight. You will feel so much better upon arrival and beyond. Additionally, I always wear my favorite crystals to stay grounded and protected as well!
